This is your permission slip to ✨ dilly dally ✨
When you're exercising, do you feel pressure to complete all the reps and sets at full capacity, even if you've had a rough day and are currently operating at -2 out of 10 energy?
This kind of all-or-nothing approach to exercise is a one-way ticket to burnout, resentment and an unhealthy relationship with exercise.
Here's what I think you should do instead:
a ✨ dilly dally workout ✨
I made this name up as an AuDHD lady with chronic migraines, fibromylagia and endometriosis.
Sometimes just GETTING to class is the biggest achievement & getting those brain gremlins to behave is HARD!
So what is a 'dilly dally' workout?
it means you do as many or as little reps/sets in strong as you like
you take as many rest breaks as you like/need
sometimes it's lying down and staring at fairy lights
sometimes it's dancing with me or toni during class (haha!)
in pilates or yoga it might mean stopping and sitting or lying on your mat or taking longer to "transition" between moves
Whatever it looks like for you - we've got your back + we'll be cheering you on!
